Happy 41st Birthday to my husband!
We are having a nice mellow day at home with the family. Dinner plans are Jason’s yummy street tacos and my newest enchilada dish and of course his favorite, cupcakes.
I love growing old with him. I met my husband when he was 25 years old and we will be celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary in 2 weeks. It’s hard to believe how much time has gone by and all the wonderful things we have accomplished and the challenges we’ve overcome. I told him today that he wasn’t a year older but a year better.
Here we are after a few months dating getting ready for Easter dinner at my sister’s house. We look so young (and skinny!) The bottom photo is of my honey today on our porch swing. Happy Birthday SweetZ.

Baseball season has started!
Henry had his first game of the season on Saturday. I was so proud of my boy! He was first to bat and got a hit, made it to third base and the next batter up got a hit and Henry made the first run of the game! This is the first year that the games are with kids only, no longer coach pitched and they also start keeping score which I think is good for them. A little competition never hurt anyone plus his team WON the game 7-1! Sorry I am biased! I’d still be proud even if his team didn’t win.
(photo 1: Henry with his friend Levi (wearing glasses), photo 2: Jack, Levi, Henry & Owen, photo 3: blossoms, photo 4: Henry & Levi again, photo 5: waiting for the first pitch, photo 6: getting his first hit of the season! )

(please excuse our ugly backyard mish mosh of tiles, rocks, weird wood rail and that ornamental stuff on the right on the bottom of the house. I think each previous added separate things because nothing in this yard matches or even makes sense! LOL My goal is to get rid of everything and build a beautiful deck)

This one is here to stay!
Well, I have lots of reading and my first big written assignment for my psych class so I haven’t been on much lately nor will I be over the next week.I will end this post with pictures of a few knitted items I have finished recently. Enjoy your weekend!

Date night!
I am looking forward to tonight. With three little boys alone time is rare. Talking without being interrupted is rare. Eating a hot meal is rare. It’s amazing how much time I had on my hands before kids and I didn’t even realize it!
Hope everyone has a special Valentine’s Day if you celebrate it. We always had a nice wine and candle light dinner but now I am happy just getting a box of chocolates. We don’t need a “holiday” to say I love you, you know? It’s always there.
