Back in the saddle….

School is in full swing for me. Tomorrow my math class starts, oh joy. Yes, I ooze excitement about math, don’t I? It’s not that bad, and in the future I will need to know the information I learn for nursing school. I will. But it doesn’t mean I have to like the class right?

But I can’t complain or at the least, I shouldn’t. I had originally signed up for Astronomy, Biology and Philosophy but felt really overwhelmed by taking three courses with heavy reading loads AGAIN. Last semester was a heavy reading semester with Anthropology, Sociology and History and felt the stress the entire semester. No matter how much reading I did at the park, in the parent pickup line, at night, and in the morning I never felt caught up and always felt stressed so I dropped two classes (Biology and Astronomy), took the Accuplacer test (you need to take the Accuplacer test too see what level you are in English and Math so you can even sign up for those classes). I scored well on the English exam but not so good on the Math. I know the basics of Math but in my opinion I think the gents who came up with trig, calculus, and even algebra were crack smokers geniuses.

I knew I would do good on the English section of the test and I even knew I would do horrible on the Math section of the test. I had NO expectations of doing great. My husband wanted me to study so I would do well on the test  and not have to take so many math courses but in reality I can’t study and learn what I don’t understand.

The good thing about dropping and adding different classes means I can go to Stash Knitting Nights on Thursday and  the Monday Coffee Club. I haven't been to a Knit Night in over a year... not good.

Anyhow, while I studied this weekend my hubby set up our oldest son’s new bed. A BIG boy bed we bought at American Furniture Warehouse (we just couldn't wait for Ikea to open) and he has been so happy all weekend about his “new” room!

Henry’s new bed!

Henry’s “library” of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Curious George’s complete book, Baby Love (a book I gave him when he was a newborn) Backyard Guide to the Night Sky and Captain Underpants. He loves to read!

Well, back to the studies. Have a great weekend!
